I'M SPIRITUAL OR RELIGIOUS?

Hey peeps! How are you doing? One of my reader asked me: Are you spiritual and religious? So, firstly I want to tell you that there is a huge difference between them. Both have dissimilar meanings.

SPIRITUALITY:

It’s about spiritual development, authentic self, and joyful living. In spirituality, we believe that divine is within us all. We also trust that God is inside us. It is more based upon the practical application of the founders’ teachings.

Japanese poet Matsuo Basho advises:  “do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise seek what they sought”. 

On the other hand,

RELIGIOUS:

It about the worship of a god or superhuman, conditional self,  narrow creed, and, faith-based. Here we believe in a superhuman power outside you, the creator is the universe.  Religions are most often based upon the lives, teaching, and belief of the god figure, for example, Lord Krishna,  Lord Rama, Christ, Buddha, etc. these figures are also the subject of worship and devotion of religious practices and rituals in the community.

Hoping now you will understand both terms.

I’m religious because I believe in god, angles, and the universe. I believe in miracles and supernatural powers. Therefore I pray to god on daily basis.

As you know I’m young blood and a free spirit person who wants to fly high. on the days of 2018,  I had started meditation on daily basis,  I do meditation in front of the idol of Lord Ganesh.

At that time I was exploring myself and sooner I realized I need to be focused and then, I can do anything. I was searching for a job but always I got rejected and sooner I become very stressed and tense and while meditating, In anger I throw my Ganesh idol on the floor and it’s broke. I’ve never expected that I can be so rude! I did that in the heat of the moment. I throw my Ganesh idol in cold blood. And then I stopped meditation and this incident brings my soul out. It was winter of 2019 when i did that disgusting thing.

I remember I was ignoring the bliss. I was depressed and feels like I had killed the goose that lay golden eggs (I mean wealth and happiness.) That idol was larger than life character on and off the pitch.

At the time of November 2019, I got a call from my best friend and she invited me to her sister’s marriage at Kotdwara. then I accepted her invitation and went kotdwara to heal me. I was happy when I reached there I waited for my friend around 2 hours near the bus station. Then she came and we met after 1.5 years and seriously there is a tear of happiness in our eyes. I enjoyed the marriage we do shitty things and the next morning, I decided to go back to my home but she said Ateet let’s go to Sidhbali Temple, it is a famous temple. You will find peace there. I agreed and went there. Seriously I love that temple, there are peace and calm breeze all over the temple. and after that, she takes me to the shop there and gifts me an idol of Ganesha Ji similar to that idol which I broked. That new Ganesh Ji idol brings a ray of sunshine for me. And that trip becomes one of the best trips of my life.
